Proofing

Proofing is an essential step in the creation of a final print. During the proofing phase, we work with you to fine-tune your image until you are entirely satisfied. We cannot offer proofing independently of printing, or vice versa; therefore, once you enter the proofing phase you are responsible for proofing costs and final print costs, as well as any other charges incurred.

The proofing process costs $90.00 per image. Proofs are created of the full image at approximately 8x10 inches. Clip tests of specific areas at full size are available upon request. Full-size proofs are available for $0.21 per square inch of image area.

The only way we can maintain the quality and consistency of your edition is through your final proof. Once approved, the final proof becomes the bon á tirer (or BAT). We will not produce final prints without physical possession of a signed and dated BAT. This BAT will be used as our reference to ensure consistency within the edition, and will be kept in our dark storage archive until the edition is completed.
